The Right Sunglasses for Your Face

firmoo.com
Are you looking for a pair of cool sunglasses for your upcoming holiday trips?  Or for your everyday trip to work?  No matter what kind of trip you're going, sunglasses is a necessity especially when Mr. Sun is up and shining.  But like clothes with different sizes, sunglasses came from different shapes and sizes that will complement to your face.  And in order to complement the sunglasses to your face, there are things to consider when buying sunglasses in relation to your face.  So what are those?  You'll know after the break.

Before you buy sunglasses make sure that you know the shape of your face.  Sunglasses will really look cool on you if you know the shape of the frame of the sunglasses you're wearing.  To know the shape of your face you may go here and here.

Now that you know your face shape we will now go to the different shape of the sunglasses that will complement your face.  Below are the general types of face shape and their type of sunglasses.
Oval Face

Any style will work on oval face.  Square, rectangular and geometric shapes which add angles to soft curves.  Experiments with latest style such wraparounds or shields. Any frame shape will do but avoid frames that are too large for your feature.

Round Face

Angular and geometric frames that sharpen facial features.  Rectangular and horizontal styles make faces appear longer and thinner.  Minimize the curves and add definition with soft, angular, rectangular styles or double brow styles. Higher temples will create a longer profile. Avoid small frames that are out of proportion and short frames that accentuate face length.

Diamond Face

Oval sunglasses will soften the contour of the face, although softly curved square frames will work as well.  Make sure the styles are no wider than the top of the cheekbones.  Rimless styles that allow cheek bones to shine will complement your face.  Avoid narrow frames that draw attention to narrow eye line.

Square Face

This face shape consists of a strong jawline, a broad forehead and wide cheekbones. Reduce the angles with soft, curvy styles that will give the face some definition such as cat-eye styles. The classic ovals also works well for this face shape. Avoid geometric and square shaped frames that accentuate angles of the face.

 Oblong Face

Widen and shorten the face with sunglasses styles that do not extend beyond the widest part of the face. Round or square shapes will look great on this face. Frames with short horizontal and long vertical lines also work. Decorative or contrasting temples add width to the face.  Avoid small frames that are out of proportion and short frames that accentuate face length.

 Triangle-Shaped Face

This face has a narrow jaw and a wide forehead. Soften the lower portion of the face by accenting the eye area. Styles such as cat-eyes should angle outward at the top corner and be wide enough to balance the jawline. You can also try metal frames with rimless bottom and top-heavy styles that balance the width of the jaw.  Avoid low-set temples that widen the jaw and narrow frames that are out of proportion.

Heart-Shaped Face

This face has broad forehead and wide cheek bones that narrow to a small chin.  You may try bottom-heavy frames that add width to lower face.  It also good to use styles with low-set temples to draw attention downward.  And also the narrow, round frames that soften the forehead.  Avoid top-heavy styles that draw attention upward and decorative temples that accentuate the broad upper face.
